| Thallus off-white, thin to evanescent, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, black, scattered, sessile, open, with a conspicuous thalline margin, elongate to substellate, 0.5–1.0 (–1.5) mm wide. Disc matt black, epruinose. Proper exciple not carbonised. Hymenium 120–150 µm thick, inspersed. Ascospores 1 per ascus, initially hyaline, pale brown at maturity, densely muriform, 100–135 × 30–45 µm. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |

| A rare, corticolous species; in Australia known only from the type locality in north-eastern N.S.W. Also in Brazil, Costa Rica and Kenya. | ||
