| Thallus off-white to pale fawn, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata numerous, scattered, black, inconspicuous, thin, straight, curved or sinuous, occasionally branched, semi-immersed to sessile, 0.5–4.0 mm long, 0.10–0.15 (–0.30) mm wide, with a conspicuous thalline margin; lips smooth, initially closed, becoming slightly open. Proper exciple laterally carbonised. Hymenium 100–125 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely (10–)
12–14-locular, 40–50 × (6–) 8–10 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |
