Thallus pale olive-green, thin, subtuberculate, slightly glossy. Ascomata numerous, black, immersed to semi-immersed, thin, straight, curved or sinuous, usually simple, sometimes branched, 1–3 (–4) mm long, 0.1–0.2 mm wide, with a thin thalline margin; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised, weakly sulcate above. Hymenium 100–120 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, transversely 12–16-locular, 60–80 × 8–11 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |

Corticolous in eastern Qld and north-eastern N.S.W.; also in Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominica and Vanuatu. | ||
