| Thallus small-foliose, moderately adnate, to 1–2 cm wide. Lobes contiguous to partly imbricate, flat to weakly convex, irregular to sublinear-elongate, 0.8–1.5 mm wide, without laciniae. Upper surface olive-brown to reddish brown or dark brown, often paler at thallus periphery, dull to slightly shiny at lobe apices, smooth, lacking isidia. Lower surface black, sometimes dark brown towards lobe apices; rhizines moderately dense to dense, simple, slender, to 0.3 mm long, black. Apothecia and pycnidia not seen. CHEMISTRY: cortex K-, HNO3+ dark blue-green; medulla K-, C-, KC+ rose, P-, UV-; containing glomelliferonic acid (major), loxodellonic acid (major), and glomellonic acid (trace). | ||
| A rare endemic species known only from the type locality. Grows over thalli of N. verisidiosa or N. loxodella. | ||
