CHEMISTRY: Thallus K+ yellow, C+ faint orange, Pd+ yellow; containing atranorin (major), chodatin (major), chloroatranorin (submajor), thiophanic acid (submajor), arthothelin (minor), asemone (minor), 2-chloronorlichexanthone (minor), demethylchodatin (minor), 2,4-dichloronorlichexanthone (minor), 2,5-dichloronorlichexanthone (minor), 5,7-dichloro-norlichexanthone (minor), 3-O-methylthiophanic acid (minor), zeorin and traces of unidentified terpenes. | ||
Occurs in N.T. and north-eastern Qld. Also known from New Guinea and Central and tropical South America. | ||
