| Thallus ±placodioid, ±orbicular, loosely attached, to 6 cm wide, whitish grey-blue. Lobes 0.3–0.8 cm wide, adjacent, broadly cuneate to flabellate, very often with shallow transverse concentric ridges; margins entire to minutely notched, ±conspicuously deflexed. Upper surface ±smooth, somewhat coriaceous, matt. Lower surface pale, corticate, with numerous white or more rarely blue-black rhizohyphae. Apothecia frequent, to 1.5 mm wide; disc concave at first becoming flat or convex, usually pale reddish brown with prominent paler proper exciple; hymenium I+ blue. Ascospores 11–16 × 5–7 µm. | ||
| Occurs in N.S.W., Vic. and Tas. on bark, primarily an epiphyte of twigs and small branches; an occasional species of cool humid lowland habitats in moderate to deep shade. Also in New Zealand, South America and Tristan da Cunha. | ||
