This is one of a series of 3 'Australian Native Bonsai' stamps.

Plant: Callistemon viminalis

Family: MYRTACEAE

Common Name: Weeping Bottlebrush

Usually a weeping large shrub or small tree to 6m.
Light green, lanceolate leaves to 7cm. Profuse bright red flower spikes to 9cm
occur in early summer and autumn.

In the case of this plant it has been developed into a bonsai specimen.

Distribution: NSW, Qld, SA, WA.
