Tropical Eucalypt Woodlands/Grasslands
- Includes the tall bunch-grass savannas of
northern Western Australia and related
Eucalypt Woodland and Eucalypt Open
Woodland communities in the Northern
Territory and far north Queensland.
- Includes a mix of species—Eucalyptus
tectifica (Darwin box), E. tetrodonta (Darwin
stringybark), E. miniata, Corymbia foelscheana,
C. latifolia, C. flavescens, C. polycarpa, C.
nesophila, C. clarksoniana, C. grandifolia,
C. bleeseri, C. ferruginea, Erythrophleum
- Savannas and understorey typified by a suite of tall, annual grasses (notably Sorghum spp.) but does not include communities in more arid sites where Triodia spp. become more dominant.
Much of this vegetation is within Indigenous-held land and most is in substantially natural condition except for some grazing pressure, changes in fire regime and weed infestation.
