Support the Gardens

Protect threatened plant species

For more than four decades, the Australian National Botanic Gardens has fostered an understanding of Australian plants and their ecology, cutting-edge scientific research and a love of our native flora.

We welcome your generous support to help us continue to maintain the highest standards of excellence in horticultural practice, scientific research and community education.

Your contribution will directly assist us in delivering a wide range of new initiatives relating to:

  • expanding our Living Collection
  • developing new research and conservation programs
  • creating innovative gardens that showcase our unique flora and
  • enhancing our education programs to help shape the next generation of environmentally aware citizens.

Help us make this important work possible through your tax deductible donation.

Donations can be made at any time to the Gardens’ Director’s Fund.

Contact anbgadmin@anbg.gov.au for more information.

Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens

The Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens increase community awareness of the scientific, educational, recreational and conservation functions of the Gardens, and provide activities for the benefit and pleasure of their members.

The Friends of the Gardens have established a Public Fund which aims to attract donations to finance worthwhile projects within the Gardens - projects of the kind that could not be financed from the Gardens’ budget.

Review the Public Fund brochure – also available from the Visitor Centre.
