Pin-cushion Hakea

Erect or spreading shrub to 6 m, sometimes reaching small tree proportions. Narrow-elliptical leaves to 15 cm. Globular red flower heads with protruding white styles occur inautumn and early winter. Distribution: WA.

Propagation From seed.

Cultivation One of the best known Hakea spp. Very decorative and hardy. Bears flowers in off-season.
