She started working with the 'Plant Records' unit of Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) in 1985.

She is listed as a 'Gardener' at ANBG in 1986-87.

She became 'Acting Glasshouse Manager' at ANBG 1987-88.

She moved to Jervis Bay (NSW/ACT) as 'Overseer' at Jervis Bay Botanic Gardens Annex of ANBG (now Booderee Botanic Gardens) in 1988-91.

She continued working in the 'Gardens at Jervis Bay until c. 1995.

She then worked for Booderee National Park in management roles until c. 2002.

Her collections date from 1988 to 1997 and she participated in field-trips with Mark Richardson and Fred Howe.
