About the artists
Artists of Nature: Illawarra & Southern Highlands is a group of botanic and natural history artists, based in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands regions of NSW.
We meet regularly to share ideas, exhibit together, take field trips, and undertake special projects, such as the Wollongong Botanic Garden Florilegium.
One such recent field trip was to the Australian National Botanic Gardens, where we were welcomed by the Friends of the Gardens, met local botanic artists, visited the library and had a guided tour of the gardens.
Our artists work in a variety of media, including watercolour, drawing, printmaking and digital images. They are experienced artists who have successfully exhibited widely and have works in private collections in Australia, England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands and New Zealand.
